I played the first Crysis just to test my hypothetical machine from outer space and it wasn't really to my liking. The game was short, with story based on American soldiers bashing their evil enemies which quickly turns into a senseless fight against evil aliens and finally ends with even more senseless boss which looks like a JRPG rip-off.
