OCC: Thread ended... claiming ignorance...this will not affect storyline or plot.

Maxi checks his 'conversation' with other participants in the Maiden's story. Especially Haxtes, Jarra and Venus (in that order). Of the first (Haxtes) and last (Venus) Max except any answer and will not ask follow up questions. Of Jarra he will ask about her personal opinion. Max does this after he has delivered his initial report to Xerza.<br />

There is SOME progress with the eldar, not much, but a little. It helps to move her to the detention area; away from what must be...unpleasant...memories. She eventually gets the overall picture - she's a prisoner, but you're not with the captain.

The savant translates the few words she speaks. Still you get an overall understanding of the situation; she's confused, wondering who you people are, what happend to old Corben, what will happened to her now, why a human would call on Khaine - that sort of thing.

She's been given hope of sorts. Perhaps not hope of survival, but at least hope that she won't have to meet Corben and the null-room anymore.

And that hope can perhaps be manipulated to learn more - if she has anything more to add that is.

Could provide insights and new angles - that's what Haxtes is looking for and it is a pleasant distraction to have a conversation for a change. Haxtes is sure they can work out a few scams in the future.

--

Haxtes takes hes time with the eldar, there is no hurry, try the translator he talks to it about every day things and tries over time to build up confidence, this approach takes time, but Haxtes is willing to try, no hurry.

Its a pleasant diversion. Anna is skilled in...conversation - given her background and profession that's to be expected. You are sure she'll come in useful.

Still, she's an old whore, so don't expect her to get you into fancy circles. She may have frequented the higher circles in Hive Sibellus when she was younger, but she's gone down a bit from there, to Hive Tarsus, the Scintilla Orbitals...and finally aboard a Rogue Trader...a trip from which her Guild didn't expect her to return (or perhaps didn't want her to - a matter than can be looked into later perhaps?)

Anyway, it is always good to know someone on the ground that isn't a lackey of your superiors. Could provide insights and new angles.

---

As for the eldar Xerza doesn't really care what you do with it as long as it talks. One of her savants can translate for you. But she does note that it could be quite the challenge to try and get something out of it, with or without torture. How to tell when its lying or telling the truth. What can the xenos body take. Can it be tricked. Don't waste a good asset before you have to.

"I did tell you that you and the mistress would hit it off, I knew that would happen. She is the standard of a peoples person the mistress."

"Here we are Anna dear, you can use my rooms, I don't use them and you will be completely safe here. Don't leave this rooms without permission from me, I will if my duties permit escort you where you need to go."

"Allow me to get you a drink, I'll be having one as well, it's been a long morning. Then we can talk, but first a toast to you Anna - not being an enemy of the Throne "

Haxtes removes his mask and gets drinks.

(Haxtes sees the potential for a good contact\cover here, the girls in Anna's profession have a knack at getting access to all sorts of places that can be useful for an assassin)
