"Sooner or later you will. So I'll just tell you now and save you the trouble. Perhaps it will also help you in your mission - for what concerns Erasmus Haarlock concerns the Tyrant Star also. There is an entire cabal - the Tyrnatine Cabal - of the Ordo Calixis that pursues the Tyrant Star to the exclusion of everything else. We have many members, but we prefer to work in secret, for our enemies are legion. The Cabal consumes no small part of the resources of the Inquisition in this sector. And for good reason - the Tryant Star is the singular greatest threat to the Calixis sector. Other heresies pale in comparison to one that promises to destroy an entire sector. But for all out resources, for all the centuries spent pursuing the Hereticus Tenebrae, the heretical Prophecy of the Tyrant Star, we know next to nothing of this threat. Save that it is very real and very powerful - potent enough to undo whole worlds by the presence of its dark shadow. It is maddening in the extreme. I have gathered to me some Inquisitors of like mind and set upon a new course that I think hold some promise. It's been done a hundred times before by other Inquisitors of course...a new line of inquiry...a new take on the situation...but this one I feel really hold some promise. Ersmus Haarlock, last scion of the House of Haarlock, has turned out not only to be an eccentric and very vengeful rogue trader. In the centuries since his disappearance - death most probably - the inquisition has figured out something. That Erasums may have come to know more of the Tyrant Star than all of the Tricorn put together. Inquisitor Marr is our foremost expert on Erasmus - and the Haarlocks in general. That's why he'll be your liaison. But there is more. Marr has detected a certain pattern to our Haarlock investigations - a pattern of being led towards an end as yet unknown. I do not like being led by anyone. And this is part of the reason why you are being drawn into this. I need fresh blood, fresh perspectives. And if you can serve as red herrings to draw the attention of whomever is behind it all - that would be a nice bonus."

Keeping his hands still in his lap, Haxtes looks Soldevan in the eye and smiles. "I feel I have come a long way since we met last. And further more I don't agree that I follow the path of the Hand - you know them and their ways. I have had prey under my knife and let them live on several occasions. Granted I still kill for honor. As for the blood and pain, the world is blood and pain and the sooner one figures that out the easier it gets to stay ahead, helps keep one sane too. I will admit that I do take great pleasure in hurting those that think they have this, for lack of a better expression, "Truth about the world" and think they live by it. All of the rest is just doing my job well Inquisitor."
