I guess the 34th showed just how feasible the Spinward approach was!

Raiding Calixis in force had definitely had some benefits, but it has also caused some attrition. Finial would have offered more booty for less losses - but of course it would have contributed little to Castor's or Asmodeus' agendas.

Excellent Herr General!

If pursuing the raiding option he advocated sending the majority of raiders to Finial - to keep up raider moral, bring in maximum gains AND avoid drawing attention from Battlefleet Calixis. Then add a sprinkling of heavier raids on Calixis to keep them off-balance.

But it's your call of course.

At first glance, Castor likes the Back Approach best, gives him time to build up his force and strike at the enemy from the shadows.
The two last options can work as a distraction from the main Attack and as a way to get training for the new Astardes and get sorely needed supply's for the host.

Your Warleader recommends:

Either the Spinward Approach or a combination Finial/Back door approach. The Spinward approach is the more martially inclined option. The back door option offers the opportunity to build up while waiting for the infiltrators to (hopefully) do their job (but if they fail you're basically left with the frontal assault option - but at least you'll be stronger by then).
