Mephiston is a veteran of the long war. Exactly how old no-one knows, but he's old enough to be either a Colchisian or born into a family of pureblood refugees. Mephiston himself has no memories of his childhood. Neither does he remember his training - or the Long War. His memories stretch back only a few years; he remembers Castor becoming Lord of the 10th, but not much more than that.

Mephiston is, however, one of the most learned men in the 10th when it comes to the Lore of the Word. The number of volumes of holy scripture that he remembers - and can cross-reference - is almost beyond counting.

Mephiston is also a capable combatant, but with certain limitation: As long as no tactics are involved he does fine. But anything more complex than shooting obvious targets or butchering people in melee is beyond him.

Served in the 5th Company with Katarn Colchis, until he was reassigned to the Cult of the Faceless.

Word Bearer Chaplain that arrived alongside the Sicarus replacements (the Anvil batch). After a few years of proving his worth and loyalty, he was accepted into the Templum and charged with overseeing the needs of the newly reforged 1st Company.

Paradise world located beyond the fringes of the 6th Circle of Finial. A planet of great, sunbathed oceans and numerous island and archipelagos. Settled since hallowed antiquity, but only a few sea-hives remain to bear witness to lost greatness.

Conquered by Castor and his allies shortly after his ascension to Lord of the 10th. Serves as a forward base for those raiders operating in the deep. Queen Mikaela rules the planet (but she of course answers to Castor) from the capital island, but there are many semi-independent fief-islands that have been granted to loyal raiders and servants.

The world was depopulated by a visitation of the Tyrant Star. It has since been repopulated, in no small part by slaves from Zephyr. Diamantina is being rebuilt as a beacon of faith and allegiance to the Word.

World is named after the Queen's flagship. Formerly known as Kazim.

Sector fleet base for the 6th Circle of Finial. Heavily fortified and garrisoned.

Site of a great naval battle between the 10th Host and the Imperium. Great victory for the 10th, made possible by the defection of the CA Lord Hax and her captain.

The meaning of the name has been lost in the mists of time.

Repulsive-class grand cruiser. This class came late and is seen as a precursor to modern battlecruiser designs. It is slightly smaller and much leaner than most grand cruisers. Armed with a balanced mix of weapons.

Lunar-class. Part of the Fenksword defensive squadron. The ship and her crew (captain included) defected at Guytoga - a result of years of subversion.

Retribution-class vessel. The ship is in very good condition and has a very skilled crew.

Manned by a mixture of pirate prize crews and press-ganged Imperials; currently not a very battle-worthy mix, but it looks very promising in the long run.
