Diston is one of Castor's own veterans, from before he was Lord of the 10th, that has risen to captaincy. He was promoted on the spot to replace Cpt. Tholkis, who died from a sniper's shot to the head at the Icefang. This red-headed giant looks more like a Space Wolf than his brothers of the Word. Diston has one other trait of note; he's a likeable chap, prone to chatting with the subhumans and being generally nice. As a result he as quite the web of connections around the fleet - and good gear and supplies thend to flow his way.
