BARASPINE DIGNITARIES

Governess-Excellency Tamzin Turin: Survived her husband, the esteemed Governor-Excellency Oberon Turin, to become Governess of Baraspine some 15 years. This elderly woman must have been both energetic and attractive, but now the weight of responsibility and the concerns of family have made her weary and unstable.

Mayzin Turin: Tamzin's only child, a girl of 17.  The Heir of Baraspine. Secretly a mutant with deformed extremities and lumy skin. Her condition is known only to a few; her mother, the Bishop, the Governor-Adjutant and the First Minister. He cloests servants are all blind, mute and never leave the palace.

Duke Ulmin Drey, First Minsiter of Baraspine: Elderly noble. A learned man. Harbors heretical thoughts of freedom and equality for all, human and mutant alike. Has brought the AdMech to Baraspine to harvest the Picking Fields more efficiently (another heresy - a blatant break with tradition). Has spread his lies to the Heir  (he is aware of her condition). Currently held by the Inquisition (but his followers believe him to be hiding with the AdMech).

Count Mallear, General-Adjutant to Her Excellency: Middle-aged noble. Personal military aide to the Governess and overall commander of the Baraspine PDF. Significant manufactorum interest - he's suspected of hawking his guns to all buyers, even those known to pass them on to the rebels. One of his sons left as the commanding officer of the 11th Baraspine Regiment (raised recently to fight in the Margins Crusade, but diverted to Tranch). Knows about the Heir's condition.

Bishop Nicodemus: Malfian. Senior cleric on Baraspine. Knows abut the Heir, but claims not to support her mother's plans to make her Governess. Still he hasn't spoken out openly either, which probabaly means he's in on it anyway, as long as the price is right.

Countess Datar: Haxtes' liege lord. Master of the Driscol Spire. Seven Barons and several lesser nobles owe her their allegiance. Controls main accesses to the spire, plus the spire's small trans-port (spaceport/airport/landtrain depot).

BARON HOPES

Olion: Mutant info-broker known to Ulmin Drey. His left hand is tentacle-like. Put the cadre in contact with Assod Morirr.

Assod Morirr: Supposedly a scion of a branch of the House of Drey. According to Arbites archives he was shot dead in a duel in 872.M41 by Treim Drey, 3rd son of then-Duke Drey. His body should be resting in the Morirr mausoleum.

Throgel: Assod's massive bodyguard. Mutant the size of an overgrown ogryn. Goes barechested.

Raze: Assod's pet female rogue psyker. Fond of weird hairstyles and mismatched attire. Attitude problems. Clearly a telepath, but possibly a telekine as well.

Treim Drey: The 3rd son of the Duke of Drey. Killed Assod Morirr in a duel. According to the Drey annals he was an acolyte of the Inquisition. Arrested for murder and died in Arbites custody shortly thereafter.
