Director Ernst Reinhardt: Administrator of the Kincaid Research Complex on North Whitman, Hesperus II. A retired mechwarrior colonel in his late 60s. He has close ties to Duke Brewster.

Hermann Flich-Steiner: Young Fähnrich (officer-in-training) and test pilot at Kincaid Complex. Piloted a prototype Hatchetman against the Marik invaders and became an ace. Later piloted an Atlas in the 1st Hesperus Militia, becoming a triple ace. Advanced to the rank of Hauptmann (Captain) by the end of the Hesperus campaign. His mech was cored in battle against the 2nd Sword of Light. He suffered grievous injuries, but survived.

Annabel "Anna" Wu: Draconis spy that sabotaged the Pride of Chesterton, forcing it to make an emergency landing on the Tatanya Archipelago. Interrogation revealed she was a DEST commando. Takari let her go - her failure meant she could either kill herself, go back to the Combine and be executed, or become a Ronin.

Lord Greydon III Brewster, Herzog (Duke) Hesperus: A small, elderly gentleman, the Duke of Hesperus possesses boundless energy and great charisma. His role as ruler of Hesperus is an odd one, as he commands no military forces beyond his personal guard and a small militia, and has no direct say in the running of the Definance Industries mechworks.

Oberst (Colonel) Günter: Short and stocky, with a shaved head and fine grey moustache. Retired Lyran mechwarrior colonel. Commands Duke Brewster's personal guard company of 12 Atlases. Took command of the 1st Hesperus Militia while General Schaefer was indisposed. His Atlas was one of two left standing after the final push on the 2nd Sword of Light.

General Ernst Schaefer: Supreme Commander Lyran Forces Hesperus, Baron Tharkad. Tall, powerful and with a great chin, Schaefer looks like a paragon Commonwealth officer. He even has a name worthy of a true hero-soldier. He's a professional officer to the fingertips, but unfortunately he's completely devoid of imagination and lacks the offensive drive that characterizes a good mech commander. He holds mercs in contempt, and considers anything less than a heavy mech pretty much worthless. He doesn't get along too well with the Duke.

Brevet General Nathan Armstrong: Commanding officer, Eridani Light Horse. A professional military man in his late 30s, Armstrong comes from a long line of mechwariors that have commanded the Light Horse ever since the the days of the Star League.

Major O'Donnel: Commanding officer, 12th Recon Battalion, 151st Regiment, Eridani Light Horse. Liaisoned with the Lancers several times during the Hesperus campaign.

COMSTAR CHARACTERS

Commander Angel Winter, "Snow White: Captain of the ECV Scout-class jumpship "Advent". A big fan of mech combat (and sex), she used her jumpship to ferry the fledgeling Lancers to Alcor in return for favours (not sexual ones, but raw footage from actual mech combat). Her nickname was given her by Captain Satan, who thought she looked a lot like Snow White from the fairytales.

Precentor Anastasia Blake: ComStar official. No relation to THE Blake. Facilitiated the negotiation regarding the ransom of Takashi Kurita, loaning (free of any charge) Takari her modest Swiss Alps mansion. Takari got her number from Captain Winter, who clamied she was a "dear and long-time friend". Ms. Blake was also the one to take Takari to Sandhurst and helped with other things as well. It's good to have a friend in ComStar.

Colonel Carson Holmes Esq.: Commanding officer, ComStar Sandhurst Academy/ComGuards 2nd Regiment "Iron Warriors". Son of General Sir Robert Holmes, commanding officer, ComStar Forces Europe.

OTHER TERRAN CHARACTERS

Akari Kurita: Draconis Combine ambassador to Terra. Didn't seem to like Takari much, nor really want Takashi back. But clearly he'd gotten his orders - and Miyamoto was there to keep him on track too.

Miyamoto Kurita: Younger brother to Takashi Kurita. Seemed genuinely pleased to have his borther back, safe and sound. Takashi seemed equally pleased, so maybe they actually like each other!?

Sir Henry Holt: Famous neurosurgeon and genetic therapist. Owner and chief medical officer of the Holt Clinic, London. Received 1-mill C-bills to begin researching lostech DNI.

WALDORFF CHARACTERS

Major Herbet Huges, "Red Crab": Commonwealth liaison to the Lancers. Mechwarrior trained. Recently promoted. Borrows a bright red Crab mech that was salvaged from some pirates.

Herzog Wilhelm Truder: The feudal lord of Waldorff. He rules from his palace, centrally located on the Palatine Hill in Waldorff City. Has a passion for all things Romanesque, including orgies and young women.
