ToE for Col Satan's 2nd "Winged Wolf" Regiment.

The 2nd Regiment's 5th Battalion "Inferno" was the first permanent unit established outside the Katanas/1st Regiment, a point of some pride for its personnel. It was built, one company at a time, mostly from salvaged enemy mechs. Lancer mechtechs have worked hard to restore the machines, many still bear scars from when they were brought down. Even those that do not are frequently painted as to appear damaged: The Inferno battalion takes great pride in being forged from scrap metal. More recently the unit's techs have taken to decorating mechs with "hellfire" that contrasts sharply with the dour charcoal of the standard Lancer paint scheme.

The 5th is comprised of 4 companies rather than the customary 3, plus a command lance, for a total of 52 mechs. 10th Coy, Dance Macabre, is a typical medium battle company, leaning towards the 55-toners (they didn't always enjoy such good mechs). 13th Coy, "Lightbringers", is comprised entirely of heavy-assault mechs and is Satan's tactical reserve and armored fist. 14th Coy, "Morningstar", is a mobile light-medium company, sporting a lance of 55-toners, a PH scout lance and a Panther support lance. 16th Coy, "Stalkers", is made up entirely of light mechs, but only quality ones: Commando striker lance, Panther/Valkyrie support, and Spider scout lance.

The 5th is commanded by Maj. Sandra "Ace" Lamoth, a FedSuns expat from the obscure world of Lackland on the Periphery border. A knight's daughter, she trained in mechs since she was a little girl, and later attended Albion Military Academy. After a brief tour of duty she was discharged in dishonor, after being caught in falsifying gun cam footage to achieve ace status (that's how she earned her callsign). She then worked as mercenary for 10-odd years, eventually commanding her own company. She ran afoul with the MRB and after a few years of unsuccessful Periphery operations, the company was disbanded. Jimmy found her on Galatea and brought her "home".
