Slutt for denne gang

by DM B

Æ kainn ikkje snakke førr dokker andre men æ syns æ ska gi tilbakemelding. (Ja æ Å 'raske Roger' e bekjente.) Jeg ønsker ikke å være kverulant. Men du klare deg bra.

As the greenhorn/rookie/outsider/whatever, I can just say that I've enjoyed it while it lasted (and also some while before I joined up, as a bi-weekly reader). As for the blog-style, it certainly took some getting used to, but I think you've done amazing work with somewhat limited and restricting resources. With the amount of players currently engaged or interested in the campaign, I guess it doesn't warrant an entire forum on itself (although one could always try). If I have to comment on anything, the lack of editing-capabilities was a bit of a bummer, especially when trying to keep up with the "20+ posts an hour" pace you guys sometimes set :P. It's not a major thing, just a bit annoying to discover blatant spelling-errors. If/when you wish to re-start, or re-boot, or whatever, Bjørn, I'm certainly up for participating again (if you want me that is). You, as usually, have put a lot of time and effort into this, and it'd be sad just to see it go. In the meantime, Jeb will just continue to eat babies and drink promethium. He seems to enjoy that...

The problem is not Haxtes or Maxi. I think both are developing in interesting directions. It's the combination that doesn't seem to work out. I've certainly contributed to the trouble with the divergent background - and I have on purpose played up on their differences on many occasions. That's because I'm a meanie GM and because I thought it would be interesting to see how it would develop. But its not. It doesn't develop. It devolves. Which detracts a lot from my fun since I feel I have to shoehorn things more often that I would have liked - shoehorning which players obviously do not like (of course they don't!). Yet at the end of the day the conclusion is still this; I'm using a lot of time and energy on this, but I'm not having a whole lot of fun. But OK, based upon various feedback I'll do some more thinking. Maybe I can recover my motivation. Note to self: Also keep OOC post out of the IC threads. Keep them separate.

I've removed all the OOC bits from the two adventure threads.

Thanks Bjørn, we are all having fun with this, I agree with all the shoehorn stuff, we need it some times but its not allways fun for us and sertanly not for you. If you get the motivation back too spend time on this I`m sure we will all be ready too get crackin ones more.

We could always give it one more shot - I've got enough adventures planned to take us all the way to Rank 8, possibly beyond. And after that...this is 40k...the Eye is the limit! But I would rather not have to force anyone to do this or that. I will certainly need to keep the story moving, but that's different. I'll try to let you develop your characters in whatever fashion you feel is the right one. I can't guarantee that it will turn out well for you, but at least you will have made your own choices. Hopefully it will turn out to be entertaining for all - I'm not 100% convince it will be fun AND last, but I'm willing to give it another try. --- Thorsten: Once Matt has gotten married we should none-too-gently remind him that the Emperor does not take kindly to deserters! Seriously; Parsifal has a rather interesting part to play in Chapter 2. More fun if he's actually played then! And try not to lose him, OK?

Agent Jeb: Can now edit his own posts. Just like Haxtes and Maxi can.

Agent Jeb is grateful - next thing will be to find out how. :P And I'll keep an eye out on the stuck up scripture-sucker called Parsifal. Perhaps I can persuade him to revert from his dull ways and indulge in some carnal sins?
